The MGV is a compact series of voice coil stages by Akribis Systems that features cross roller bearings and an encoder resolution of up to 20nm. Due to the direct coupling of the load directly to the motor it is suitable for high seed and high acceleration applications. Akribis voice coil motors are one of the simplest actuators available and consist of two components; the magnet and the coil.
The MGV stage is constructed with an ironless linear motor and can achieve excellent repeatability and accuracy. Supporting strokes of up to 30mm, the MGV stage is suitable in a wide range of applications including: Semiconductor, Optics, Photonics, Life Sciences, Medical, Aerospace and Measurement & Metrology.
