  1. I need to splice a high current/voltage power cable that goes from a Prius hybrid battery to the motor’s inverter. The stranded aluminum core is about 1/4″ in diameter, and there is a sheild around it. What is the best, surest way to join the stranded ends? Once I’ve joined the core wire, do I just overlap the sheilds from both ends as you have done in the video, then heat shrink it all?

    1. Hello Larry,

We would prefer not to provide recommendations for splicing cable we haven’t sold, as we don’t have any experience with car battery cables.

I recommend you contact Toyota for instructions.

      Thanks,
